Shawn Moore is in his fourth year at the Bard College Conservatory, studying with Ida Kavafian and working toward a degree in Asian Studies. Shawn has performed with the American Symphony Orchestra under Leon Botstein in the rarely-heard Violin Concerto by Charles Villiers Stanford, and has also soloed with the Kishwaukee and Knox-Galesburg orchestras. He has performed as guest artist with the Bard Music Festival of the Hamptons, is a laureate of the Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition, and has appeared in collaboration with Joshua Bell on the nationally syndicated program, “From the Top.” He spent most of 2009 in China studying Mandarin..
