Nicole Golay Nicole Golay, oboist, originally from Idaho , has been entertaining audiences in the Hudson Valley for over twelve years. She has performed with such groups as Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Ridgefield Symphony, Woodstock Chamber Orchestra, Charlottesville Symphony Orchestra, Jupiter Symphony and as a founding member, chamber ensembles Madera Vox and Neue Bach Band. She has taught at the University of Virginia , Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Dutchess Community College Music School and has participated in Basically Bach, Bach Aria Festival, Bermuda Music Festival and Banff Chamber Music Festival. Ms. Golay studied at CalArts with Allan Vogel and received her MM from Yale School of Music with Ronald Roseman. Currently, she resides with her family in Beacon, New York , where she teaches privately and maintains an active freelance and chamber music career.
Bassoonist Cornelia McGiver regularly performs with the New Haven Symphony, Canterbury Choral Society, Trinity Chorale, and Orchestra New England. Locally she has performed with the Woodstock Chamber Orchestra, Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra and the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra. Ms. McGiver teaches privately, and has served as woodwind coach for the Bard College Orchestra, as well as her own recently formed ensemble, NorthWinds, a bassoon duo. Ms. McGiver holds a BA with majors in music and classics, as well as a Masters of Science in Education, and is a Speech Language Pathologist with a private practice. Her extensive private training as a bassoonist includes eight years of study with Kim Laskowski of the New York Philharmonic, among others. Cornelia McGiver
Sylvia Buccelli Sylvia Buccelli, pianist, is a founding member of several chamber music ensembles in the Northeast as well as a frequent recital partner of instrumentalists and vocalists. She has performed at Weill Recital Hall in New York City and extensively throughout New England, where she appeared at the New England Conservatory and in radio concerts at WGBH, WICN and WCUW. Her recordings include "She Walks in Beauty", a CD of the vocal and piano music of Otto Luening and a recent release of the piano chamber music of Henry Martin with her piano trio, Innisfree. Ms. Buccelli is on the faculty of the State University of New York at New Paltz and Dutchess Community College. In the summer she participates in Music on Monhegan, a chamber music series she originated with colleagues off the coast of Maine. She holds an MM from Manhattan School of Music as a student of Artur Balsam.
Percussionist and composer/arranger David Gluck, is Assistant Professor of Studio Composition at Purchase College, State University of New York. As a founding member of Rhythm& Brass, he has toured the world as an acclaimed virtuoso percussionist. David has appeared as a featured clinician in hundreds of universities across the globe. While rapidly gaining notoriety as a distinguished composer, he has received numerous commissions from such groups as United States Air Force Band of Mid America, University of Arkansas Wind Ensemble, Syracuse and Omaha Symphonies, James Madison University Percussion Ensemble and the Chicago Symphony Brass Ensemble. David studied at Ithaca College, served as a teaching assistant at the University of North Texas and received his MFA in Studio Composition from SUNY Purchase College. Mr. Gluck is a Yamaha, Zildjian and Innovative Percussion performing artist. He has recorded for d'note and Koch record labels and his music has been featured in Jazz Player magazine. David Gluck
Kelly Ellenwood Soprano Kelly Ellenwood has starred on Broadway in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera as the tour de force diva "Carlotta Giudicelli", and as "Mrs. Fezziwig" in the Madison Square Garden production of A Christmas Carol. She received the First Prize at the Savannah (GA) Music Festival's "American Traditions Competition" singing America's Music - Gospel, Blues, Jazz and the American Musical Theatre and she was awarded "Actress of the Year" for her performance as "the Witch" in the Chicago and subsequent National Tour production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. She created the title role in Stewart Gordon’s Libby, based on the controversial life of 1920's torch singer and Broadway sensation Libby Holman at its Los Angeles premiere, and frequently collaborates with composers in New York and Chicago. Kelly received her BM from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and earned an MM from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, where she studied with John Wustman. Kelly and her family live in Beacon, NY where she actively advocates for making music part of the core curriculum in the State of New York public school system, and is an arts administrator and fundraising consultant.
